Observations from Giants training camp on Tuesday.
Slay it is so
WR Darius Slayton twisted his body and tapped both feet in the end zone pressed up against the sideline during a one-on-one drill. Daniel Jones delivered the pass in a spot where CB Adoree’ Jackson could not get a hand up.
Slay it ain’t so
Let’s go back to Slayton, who had one of his more active practices of the summer. Slayton dropped a pass from Jones that was intercepted by LB Tae Crowder in an 11-on-11 period.
Caught my eye
Injured WR Kenny Golladay was the first player on the field for practice — 40 minutes before the scheduled start — to catch passes off a JUGS machine.
RB Saquon Barkley was wearing a non-contact red jersey and running routes during seven-on-seven drills, when he made a one-handed catch. OLBs Elerson Smith and Lorenzo Carter participated in the walk-through part of practice. WR Dante Pettis was not seen at practice.
