This guy was definitely no hero.

A lowlife in a Superman T-shirt allegedly tried to climb over a subway turnstile — then whacked an 80-year-old passerby in the face, said cops who are looking for the attacker.

The incident happened Wednesday morning at the 34th Street A/C subway station, the NYPD said.

Surveillance video released by the NYPD shows the heavyset man, who was wearing a blue baseball cap and a gray dress shirt with the Superman T-shirt visible underneath, trying to get a free ride into the subway system by hauling himself over the turnstile.

He was blocking the turnstile when the victim walked by, and the pair seemed to exchange words before getting into a tussle.

The assailant hit the elderly man in the face and took his umbrella before fleeing into the station, cops said. The victim was treated at New York-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital for minor injuries.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit tips at https://crimestoppers.nypdonline.org/
