Rougned Odor has nobody to blame but himself.
Moments before he launched a three-run homer, he called timeout. And home-plate umpire Angel Hernandez obliged in the seventh inning of the Yankees’ game against the Twins at the Stadium on Sunday.
So Odor’s longball was taken off the board, and he eventually struck out looking on a high strike. He then exchanged some words with Hernandez before going back to the dugout.
Initially after the ball went over the wall, the Yankees third baseman went into his home run trot. But he was soon called back
Fortunately for the Yankees, it didn’t matter. They were already ahead 6-0.
