Three Jets’ issues to watch in preseason game vs. Packers

Here are three Jets’ issues, not related to Zach Wilson, to watch for in Saturday night’s preseason game against the Packers.

How will they replace the player they were counting on as their edge rusher?

Bryce Huff will be the first player to get a crack at filling the hole. Huff had two sacks last week against the Giants, and the Jets will be looking at him to have more production in this game.

2. The offensive line

The offensive line did not have a good week in pass protection.

They were abused in joint practices with the Packers and offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur said the entire offense needs to pick it up in the passing game. Green Bay is expected to play backups, so if the Jets have problems in this game, sound the alarm.

Tight ends under the microscope

The Jets’ tight ends have had a very quiet training camp. It would be nice to see Tyler Kroft or Chris Herndon have a big game and take hold of the No. 1 tight end spot.
