White Sox vs. Athletics line, prediction: Earn straight A’s with Oakland

The Oakland Athletics entered Monday 2¹/₂ games clear of the New York Yankees in the AL wild-card race and will look to improve their playoff standing on Tuesday with All-Star Chris Bassitt getting the start.

Bassitt has yet to lose a decision on the road this season and is tied for the AL lead in wins with a 12-3 mark with a 3.06 ERA, allowing 0.9 home runs and 2.1 walks per nine innings with Oakland going 17-5 in his past 22 starts.

White Sox starter Reynaldo Lopez has a 4.4 strikeout-to-walk rate but has pitched just 20 innings this season across 10 appearances, going three innings or fewer in every outing.

Oakland entered the series 16-10 since the All-Star break while Chicago was 14-15, and with the Athletics having scored at least four runs in 10 straight games entering Monday, count on them to continue their winning ways in Bassitt’s starts.

The Play: Athletics, even.
